On June 7th, 2009, we will be launching from the docks of Cleveland on course to travel over 2,000 miles to Key West, FL by means of a row boat. The trip will involve volunteering with housing construction projects, through Habitat for Humanity, in major cites along the route. It is our hope that you will be able to join us in some form or another throughout this trip.
Our primary focus is to help with the physical construction of homes for people who cannot otherwise afford to have their own house. Throughout our travels, we will also raise awareness of the need for this type of volunteering, especially during this time of economic recession.
This is a hard time for many people with the condition of the economy and housing market. By doing this trip we hope to positively effect the lives of as many families as possible. There will be many challenges throughout this trip, but with God’s help, and yours, we know we can succeed.
